ABOUT
This Summer, the Niels Lan Doky International Jazz Collective embarks on an exceptional and ambitious concert hall tour of Denmark with a project entitled MODERN STANDARDS SUPERGROUP. The tour covers Aarhus, Copenhagen and Holbæk, and features an international stellar cast of musicians that includes three of America’s greatest jazz legends of all time Billy Cobham, Randy Brecker, and Bill Evans, in addition to the French bass virtuoso François Moutin, and the knighted Danish jazz pianist Niels Lan Doky. The tour begins August 24th at Musikhuset Aarhus’ largest concert hall and culminates in Holbæk on August 26th for a special concert there hosted by Holbæk Jazzklub, one of Denmark's oldest and most prolific jazz presenters. In between the supergroup visits the iconic Tivoli Glass Hall Theatre in Copenhagen.

A concert in Tivoli’s iconic and legendary Glass Hall Theatre is something unique, large and at the same time intimate. Not only do you experience some of the world's most legendary jazz musicians, but you also get the entrance to Tivoli included in the ticket purchase. The Glass Hall Theatre is one of the most historic buildings in the old Tivoli Gardens in the center of the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen. The Glass Hall Theater is used for a wide variety of genres and has housed some of the biggest names and many famous personalities have appeared on this characteristic stage over the years. The unique architecture forms a distinguished background to the many and varied events.
